‘NYT’ Appoints Three Assistant Managing Editors

The New York Times has appointed three top newsroom staffers to assistant managing editor. Glenn Kramon has been named assistant managing editor for enterprise; Susan Edgerley has been appointed assistant managing editor in charge of career development; and Richard L. Berke has been named assistant managing editor for news.

Kramon, 52, previously served as assistant managing editor in charge of career development. He also has served as an associate editor since 2003.

Edgerley, 51, replaces Kramon as assistant managing editor in charge of career development. She was named metropolitan editor in 2003.

Berke, 47, has been an associate managing editor since last January. He served for a decade as a national political correspondent in the Washington Bureau, and then as Washington editor.
