The New York Times Co. promoted Laurena Emhoff to vice president and treasurer, effective March 22. She was previously the company’s assistant treasurer, a position she held since 2005.
Before re-joining the Times in 2001, Emhoff was a principal consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers. She started working for the Times in 1992.
“I’m very pleased that Laurena is taking on this new role,” James Follo, senior vice president and CFO of the Times, said in a statement. “Her management abilities, knowledge of our company, and financial expertise make her ideally suited to it.”
