The New York Times Co. has named Denise Warren senior vice president/chief advertising officer for the New York Times Media Group. Warren previously served as senior vice president of strategic planning for the Times.
In her new position, Warren will be responsible for advertising sales for the Times, the International Herald Tribune, NYTimes.com, and WQXR. Together these outlets generated more than $1.2 billion in ad revenue in 2004.
The company also announced that Mary Jane Patrone has been appointed senior vice president/chief advertising officer for the New England Media Group. Patrone last served as senior vice president of sales and marketing for The Boston Globe.
Patrone will oversee advertising sales for the Globe, the Worcester Telegram & Gazette, Boston.com, and Globe Specialty Products. Ad revenues for these properties totaled $480 million last year.
