NYT Company Makes Debt Offering

The New York Times Co., announced today that it is launching a $200 million debt offering for “general corporate purposes” and “to pay down debt and other financial obligations.” Last month the company, which publishes The New York Times, announced it would pay back a $250 million loan from Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim three years ahead of schedule.
