The New York Times announced today on its newly-redesigned Web site a new feature allowing readers to interact with top editors.
Bill Keller, executive editor of The Times, “will answer questions in this space about the newspaper and the news. Questions will be selected from e-mails sent to email@example.com, and Mr. Keller will answer as many this week as time permits.
“Afterward, these discussions will continue with other Times editors,” the newspaper said.
The Times is also catching up with The Washington Post in the blog business. The Times has “a bunch on the drawing boards,” Jonathan Landman, the deputy managing editor, told Public Editor Byron Calame for a column published Sunday.
