The Web site of the New York Times has announced that its redesigned travel site will have Google-powered interactive maps which give readers the ability to find hotels, restaurants, and attractions in locations around the world.
The feature is available for over 400 destinations around the world, and includes 13,000 venues. The maps will be updated regularly with information from the most recent information included in the newspaper.
“In just a month since the relaunch of our Travel site, we’ve seen a terrific response from both our readers and advertisers,” said Vivian Schiller, senior vice president and general manager of NYTimes.com in a statement. “The integration of interactive maps is the latest in a
series of enhancements and tools that enable readers to easily plan their
trips with us.?
