New York Times chief military correspondent Michael R. Gordon will pen a weekly column exclusively for NYTimes.com. “Dispatches” will be published online each Tuesday as part of the Web site’s expanding coverage of national security.

NYTimes.com will feature Gordon’s recent work on a new Dispatches page, along with his archived articles, TV appearances, and documentaries. Gordon has covered military and diplomatic issues for over 20 years.

The new feature will be accompanied by “Correspondent’s Journals,” modeled on the “Photographer’s Journals” that ran on NYTimes.com during the war in Afghanistan. The journals include slide shows and audio commentary from Times reporters and photographers.

Some Dispatches columns may also appear in the print editions of the Times and The International Herald Tribune.

NYTimes.com also recently formed a partnership with the Council on Foreign Relations, which is providing content from Foreign Affairs and cfr.org. And NYTimes.com is running headlines from the Financial Times of London audio clips from the BBC on its international page.
