David Catrow helped create the look of the “Dr. Seuss’ Horton Hears a Who!” animated film that opens today.
Catrow is the longtime editorial cartoonist for the Springfield (Ohio) News-Sun whose editorial cartoons were formerly syndicated by Copley News Service. He also drew the “Wild Things” comic formerly syndicated by United Media. And Catrow is a children’s book illustrator.
The late Dr. Seuss, who’s of course best known for his children’s books, was briefly an editorial cartoonist himself.
The new movie includes the voices of Jim Carrey and Steve Carell.
