The Association of American Editorial Cartoonists announced today that the general public can buy “The Golden Notebook” publication marking this year’s 50th anniversary of the AAEC.
About 500 copies remain of the special 112-page edition of the AAEC’s “Notebook” magazine distributed at the organization’s anniversary convention this past July.
The limited-edition publication includes a timeline of notable editorial cartooning events since 1957, pieces about each AAEC convention since 1957, scores of photos and other images, and more.
It was put together by AAEC Secretary-Treasurer V. Cullum Rogers, who does cartoons for The Independent Weekly in Durham, N.C.; and J.P. Trostle, a cartoonist, editor of the “Notebook,” news editor of the AAEC’s EditorialCartoonists.com Web site, and book editor/designer.
Information about buying the $20 “Golden Notebook” can be found here.
