The Media Center will provide ten fellowships to its 2004 programs to members of the Online News Association.
The Media Center is a nonprofit think thank committed to building a better-informed society in a connected world through the enlightened use of media and technology. The fellowships are intended to broaden the diversity of viewpoints at the Media Center programs and within the center’s global dialog on the global intersection of media, technology, and society.
The ONA — which has more than 600 professional members, people whose principal livelihood involves gather or producing news for digital presentation — will accept applications from its members and recommend individuals for five seats in each of two seminars: Emerging Technology, Business, and Policy for Senior Executives, to be held Feb. 8-10, 2005, in San Francisco; and Mobile Media Master Class: Media Opportunities and Strategies for the Mobile Generation, to be held April 26-29, 2005, in Los Angeles.
Each fellowship covers tuition, hotel, and up to $300 in travel costs. Applications, including a statement of interest and objectives and full contact information, should be sent to ONA Executive Director Tom Regan at email@example.com.
