Online Real Estate Ad Spend To Grow 15%

Though the slight rebound in home sales and new construction hasn’t carried over into advertising sales, but online’s dominance of the real estate category continues to grow, according to a new report scheduled to be released Wednesday by Borrell Associates.

While home sales are expected to rise 5% this year, and construction permits for new housing again outnumbering starts, ad expenditures are predicted to be down for a third consecutive year — Borrell forecasts that real estate advertising will be down 16.4% from 2011.
