Opinion: No, the Media isn’t Burying the Biden Allegations

About a month ago, Tara Reade, a former Senate staffer for Joe Biden in the early 1990s, appeared on Katie Halper’s podcast and accused Biden of having sexually assaulted her in 1993. Through a spokesman, Biden has denied the charges. (This isn’t the first time Reade has made Biden news. A year ago, she told a Nevada newspaper that Biden touched her neck and shoulders without permission.)

Okay, they’re not burying it. They’re just not amplifying it beyond all proportion they way several partisan cable networks provided gavel-to-gavel coverage of Senate hearings when someone else leveled allegations with much less corroboration against a Supreme Court nominee… then dedicating three weeks of wall-to-wall talking heads providing non-stop commentary as if a consistently partisan professor’s fragile recollection of an alcohol fueled party she admits attending as a teenager 40 years ago where someone allegedly tugged at her clothing is as newsworthy as a global pandemic.

I swear, the former alt-weekly editor who published this whitewash must think the public is as dumb as a box of rocks if he thinks we will believe his pap over what we see with our own eyes. Maybe he’s 24 cents short of a quarter himself.
