Orlando Sentinel Communications expanded Forum community newspapers into Orange County. Three new weekly papers will debut on Feb. 3: The Orlando Forum, Winter Park Forum, and East Orange Forum. The weeklies join DeLand Forum, Deltona Forum, and DeBary/Orange City Forum.

?Our Forum community newspapers have been well received by both readers and advertisers in western Volusia County and we want to build on that success,? Deborah Irwin, director of specialty publications for Orlando Sentinel Communications, said in a statement.

The company will distribute 35,000 copies of the new weeklies — free of charge — at about 300 retailers, restaurants, apartment complexes, and racks in addition to selected households.

Christopher Fister, editor of Forum editions in western Volusia County, will oversee content for the Orange county weeklies. The editorial staff is separate from the Orlando Sentinel newsroom.

?The three new Forum newspapers will serve small businesses interested in limited geography as well as larger businesses who want to buy deeper than the daily newspaper to satisfy certain geographic needs,? Lou Stancampiano, vice president and director of advertising for Orlando Sentinel Communications, said in a statement.

The Sentinel?s existing sales staff will manage advertising at the new papers.
