The Tribune Co.’s Orlando Sentinel has partnered with Pressmart Media Ltd., Hyderabad, India, and New York, to create an electronic edition of its daily printed newspaper. Soon available via a link on the Sentinel.com homepage, the electronic edition contains the same editorial content and advertising in exactly the same layout as the print edition.
“Our electronic edition pairs the convenience and interactivity of online content with the familiar feel and design of a hard-copy newspaper,” said Vice President Circulation Manager Bert Ortiz.
With the Sentinel’s electronic edition, customers and employees will be able to search full articles, ads, photographs, and archives, as well as access a mobile Web-enabled version. Additional eEdition features will be send-a-friend articles via e-mail; article clipping, and a function that reads articles to subscribers with sight impairments or who wish to download audio feeds to iPods and MP3 players.
