Using technology from PageSuite Ltd., Britain’s Express Newspapers today began publishing electronic editions of the Daily Express, Daily Star, Sunday Express and Daily Star Sunday.
PageSuite digital publications are now fully searchable, with a keyword highlighting tool.
PageSuite software enables Express to “embed video, audio and flash animation to enrich reader experiences. Daily Express and Daily Star readers can save, search, bookmark and enjoy all current and archived digital publications with PageSuite even before they hit the newsstand,” Express Newspapers Internet Controller Farzad Jamal said in a statement.
Elsewhere in Britain, The Guardian Weekly, Archant, Illife, Johnston Press, News International, Newsquest, Northcliffe and Trinity Mirror also rely on PageSuite, based in Kent, England. In the U.S., the Examiner newspapers in Washington, D.C., and San Francisco, Shaw Suburban Media in Illinois and Stars & Stripes use PageSuite.
