Jack Griffin, 42, president of Parade magazine, has been named publisher, effective immediately.

The title had previously been held by CEO and Chairman Walter Anderson, who noted in a release that “the publisher title more accurately reflects Jack’s actual responsibilities and functions over the last two years and clearly defines his future assignment.”

Griffin, president since November 2000, joined Parade in July 1999 after holding a variety of positions at the Meredith Corp. in New York, including vice president of marketing for the Meredith Broadcasting Group. Griffin has also worked for the New York Times Co.’s Magazine Group, where he served in various positions at McCall’s magazine.
