To help promote Sunday newspapers across the country, Parade magazine is launching a national television ad on July 3. The 30-second spot, touting different Parade covers, will run on CBS.
“Join the 100 million Americans who enjoy reading a Sunday newspaper, which is the only place you get Parade magazine,” the voice-over says. The July 6 issue of Parade, with a cover story written by John McCain and Barack Obama on patriotism, is also promoted.
“We saw this as an excellent opportunity to celebrate the popularity of Sunday newspapers across the country while promoting Parade at the same time,” Randy Siegel, publisher of Parade, said in a statement.
The last time Parade ran a national TV spot was in June 2007.
