SFGate.com has an audio slideshow homage to the Ferry Building, an 1898 landmark that is a functioning transportation hub after having plenty of ups and downs over the years. It’s lucky it wasn’t destroyed after the 1906 earthquake, and it survived being relevant despite the addition of the Golden Gate and Bay Bridges.
I like this project because it’s made up of only photographs and a quick voiceover by San Francisco Chronicle reporter John King. It also shows that sometimes great multimedia project idea are right in your neighborhood.
