Nineteen pieces of “Peanuts” art — including comics and signed doodles — will be among the items auctioned tomorrow at Skinner Inc. in Boston.
The Boston Herald reported today that the images belonged to late CBS President Frank Stanton, a friend of “Peanuts” cartoonist Charles M. Schulz.
Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Animal Rescue League of Boston and the New England Wildlife Center, according to the Herald, which added that sell-price estimates for the “Peanuts” art range from $150 to $25,000.
E&P reported last month that a 1952 “Peanuts” comic sold for $31,640.
