‘Peanuts’ Books and ‘Fun Home’ Among Eisner Winners

By: E&P Staff

Several of the Eisner Award winners announced at this past weekend’s San Diego Comic-Con have syndication connections.

For instance, the “Best Archival Collection/Project — Strips” category was won by the Fantagraphics-published “Complete Peanuts” books covering 1959 through 1962. “Peanuts” reruns by the late Charles M. Schulz are syndicated by United Media.

And the “Fun Home” graphic memoir won for “Best Reality-Based Work.” It’s by Alison Bechdel, who also does the self-syndicated “Dykes to Watch Out For” comic.

A complete list of Eisner winners can be seen at Tom Spurgeon’s Comics Reporter blog.
