Live-streaming app Periscope wants to continue expanding its reach with creative broadcasts, whether they are filmed on smartphones, drones or other devices, the platform’s chief executive said Tuesday.
“We have to keep building really compelling features. We have to keep making sure Periscope is out there,” said Periscope CEO Kayvon Beykpour on CNBC’s “Squawk Alley.”
Periscope — which was acquired by Twitter and launched earlier this year — allows users to stream events to their followers. Ten million accounts were created by August, and Beykpour said Periscope has “well over doubled” key metrics since.
