Philadelphia Media Holdings today launched an online marketplace for buying and selling automobiles, phillycars.com.
“The buying and selling of cars is always a local transaction,’ said Brian Tierney, CEO of Philadelphia Media Holdings, in a statement. “This locally managed site will offer more flexibility in meeting the needs of buyers and sellers in the region at a lower price.”
The site charges dealers a monthly fee to feature inventory. Participating dealers will receive five free classified ads every Sunday, multi-photos, and inclusion in the dealer directory every Friday in The Philadelphia Inquirer and the Daily News.
Additionally, the company re-branded the auto sections in the Inquirer and Daily News to PhillyCars.
