The Philadelphia Tribune is launching an online marketing campaign starting Sept. 10.
Visitors to the Web site can enter the four-week contest “win cool stuff.” The prizes are Blackberries and the iPhone.
The Tribune is promoting the contest on radio stations and in its print edition.
One winner will be selected each week and for the first three weeks the prize is a Blackberry; the last week, the winner will receive an iPhone.
“Over the past 10 years, we’ve done a great deal of development work on the Tribune’s Web site and now we’re ready to invite the world to visit us there,” Publisher Robert Bogle said in a statement. “We think the ‘win cool stuff’ promotion is an exciting way to do that. We think it will appeal to our traditional readers and to younger people, who now tend to go to the Internet for their news.”
