Graphic arts supplier Pitman Co., Totowa, N.J., has announced it acquired National Graphic Supply, Albany, N.Y.
Founded in 1927, National Graphic Supply provides prepress and printing solutions for more than 1,200 daily newspapers nationwide, including large groups and the Page Cooperative. It also serves commercial printers within a 125-mile radius of Albany.
“They solidify our coverage of the commercial printing market in the Northeast, and their newspaper segment is very complementary to our own newspaper market,” Pitman President Joe Demharter said in a statement.
“Our printing business is the last remaining single branch operation, and as such, we have made a decision to divest this business segment,” National Graphic Supply President Todd Kletter said in the same announcement. Kletter added that his company continues to own its law-enforcement supply business.
