The America East Print Quality Contest is one of the preeminent print quality contests in the country. Designed to be more than an awards contest, the America East Print Quality Contest improves print quality through extensive feedback on black ink laydown, color ink laydown, color registration, halftone quality, page alignment and overall print appearance. All participants receive marked newspapers and detailed evaluations from four independent judges.

This year, judges evaluated an entire week of an entrant’s printed product, providing entrants with a wider range of feedback. Thirty-seven entries were received in the 2012 contest, including papers from Pennsylvania, Florida, New York, Virginia and more.

Awards will be presented Wednesday, March 14, at the America East trade show and conference, held in Hershey, Pa.
