(AP) The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office is offering rewards for information that could bring arrests for two suspects in the shooting death of an Aiken Standard newspaper carrier.

Aiken County Sheriff Mike Hunt has said the shooting death of Debra Dorch, 36, of Aiken and wounding of Joe Brewer, 57, of Aiken, appeared to be a “case of mistaken identity.”

Dorch and Brewer had backed up in Dorch’s truck to deliver a paper to a home they’d missed on the paper route when a man tried to force his way into the vehicle. When Dorch left, four men in a car followed and shots were fired, including one that fatally wounded Dorch and another that struck Brewer in the arm.

On Monday, police arrested Willie L. Ware, 23, of Springfield, and Edward N. Walker, 26, of Perry, on charges of murder and assault with intent to kill. Walker also is charged possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.

The sheriff’s office now is offering a $500 reward for the arrest of two other suspects: Cornell D. Tyler, 22, and Tremaine M. Tyler, 25, both of Springfield.
