Political News Usually Fair, But Not Always Informative, Study Finds

OTTAWA — Media coverage of Canadian politics is neither as relentlessly negative nor as fixated on political games as commonly believed, new research suggests.

But the research also supports perceptions that political coverage is not very informative, and says there are notable differences between coverage by newspapers and television.
