Ken Nelson has been named vice president of advertising at The Press-Enterprise in Riverside, Calif.
In his new role, which will begin in August, Nelson will head up the papers’ multi-media strategy for revenue growth. Most recently, he was vice president of advertising at The Ventura (Calif.) Star.
“Ken’s reputation and solid track record of leadership as a professional sales executive and his demonstrated success in building high performance sales teams fits perfectly with the P-E’s strategy,” Ron Redfern, publisher and CEO of the papers, said in a statement.
Nelson replaces Sue Barry who retired in June.
