Prizer to Run ANG’s Interactive and Classified Divisions

ANG Newspapers has named David Prizer vice president of the newly established integrated interactive and classified division. Prizer will be responsible for overall interactive operations at ANG as well as the print and online classified advertising strategy for the company’s Bay Area newspapers and Web sites.

“The integration of interactive and classified operations at ANG closely align the sales and service capabilities of all of our vertical channels.” John Schueler, president and CEO of ANG Newspapers, said in a statement. “By integrating these departments we will be able to provide more effective solutions for advertisers as well as options for readers and online users.”

Prizer will also serve as MediaNews Group’s regional vice president for interactive media for the California Newspaper Partnership’s northern division.

Prizer has been vice president, interactive media for ANG since June 2004. Immediately prior to that he was classified advertising director for Gannett’s News Journal in Wilmington, Del.

Based in Oakland, Calif., ANG Newspapers publishes The Oakland Tribune/Alameda Times-Star, The Argus (Fremont), Daily Review (Hayward), Tri-Valley Herald (Alameda, Contra Costa and San Joaquin counties), San Mateo County Times, Marin Independent Journal, The Reporter (Vacaville), and the Times-Herald (Vallejo).
