Screen (USA), based in Rolling Meadows, Ill., announced the promotion of President Eiji (A.J.) Kakiuchi to corporate officer — president of the Media Technology Co. of Kyoto-headquartered parent corporation Dainippon Screen Mfg. Co., Ltd., effective April 1.
Also at Screen (USA), Mike Fox and Kunihisa Hashimoto were both named senior vice presidents, reporting directly to Kakiuchi, who remains the subsidiary’s president. Both also take seats on Screen (USA)’s board of directors.
Kakiuchi joined Dainippon Screen more than 20 years ago and has led Screen (USA) for five years. He has extensive management experience and knowledge of Screen’s business operations in Japan, Europe, North America, and Latin America. As Media Technology Co. president, Kakiuchi will oversee Screen’s worldwide graphic-arts business, including research and development, sales, marketing, manufacturing, and support services. He succeeds Tomitugu Morino, who has served as Media Technology Co. president for the past three years and has been promoted to division chairman.
Mike Fox, formerly sales vice president, will oversee Screen USA’s sales and technical service and support activities throughout the Americas and serve on the company’s board of directors. Fox has managed Screen (USA) sales since 2000. He implemented the development strategy for CTP and workflow systems.
Kunihisa Hashimoto, formerly marketing vice president for Screen (USA), will be responsible for planning and execution of all marketing initiatives and will manage logistics and purchasing at Screen (USA) headquarters. Earlier in his 25-year career in the graphic arts industry, he served as general manager of Dainippon Screen’s Tokyo sales division.
