The Greenfield, Ind., Daily Reporter has invested in QuadTech press ancillaries relying on the ICON platform, through which press operators can access the automated control systems from a single, centralized control station.
The Daily Reporter installed a Register Guidance System with MultiCam and a QuadTech Ribbon Control System with MultiCam on its Manugraph Dauphin Graphic Machines press.
“As we grow, we are looking to increase revenue by cutting down on waste, Joe Simpkins, production manager at the company that prints four daily newspapers, books and newsletters, said in a statement. “The Register Guidance System will free up our operators to work on the ink/water balance. The Ribbon Control System helps ensure that copy running across adjacent pages is perfectly aligned throughout the run. With the use of split doubles on the increase this is essential.”
