Former New York Times Executive Editor Howell Raines, who says he was forced out of his job in part due to Poytner.org’s Jim Romenesko, profiles the online media man in the newest Portfolio.
Raines, who has written several pieces for Portfolio, interviewed the Illinois-based aggregator via an online hook-up. In his piece, he admits, “I tend to regard Romenesko?s legitimation of gossip as unfortunate and his devotion to the tradition of fairness as noble.”
The entire piece is posted here.
