Bell & Howell Among Clients
Reciprocal, a digital rights management company, and Xerox Corp. announced the first
customers of their one-stop publishing system. The joint service protects copyrighted
information for secure online distribution.
The customers include Bell & Howell Information and Learning, which provides content from
over 8,000 publishers including newspapers to research, university, and public libraries.
That company is now promoting the ProQuest Archiver to newspaper publishers. This product
includes technology from Bell & Howell acquisitions: UMI/ProQuest, DataTimes, and
Infonautics.
Lew Gossage, senior vice president at Bell & Howell, says the Reciprocal/Xerox program is
efficient and inexpensive.
