Reuters and content monitoring company Attributor Corp. announced a partnership. Under the agreement Attributor will “fingerprint” Reuters original content and provide real time usage of how that content is distributed across the Internet.
“Attributor’s technology give us the critical business intelligence to pursue new opportunities for licensing and use for original content,” Ric Camacho, vice president, digital syndication at Reuters, said in a statement. “This is part of Reuters strategy of innovation as we continue to develop next-generation digital news syndication.”
Attributor is based in Redwood City, Calif. The company’s technology tracks and accounts all media forms for online publishers across the Internet.
“Social media and self-publishing are driving content to be cut and pasted all over the Web — empowering publishers to pursue new distribution and monetization strategies,” Jim Brock, CEO of Attributor, said in a statement.
