Tod Young, a former ad executive at a weekly newspaper in Las Vegas, is the new publisher of the Rexburg Standard Journal.
Young, 48, began his new job Monday at the eastern Idaho daily newspaper.
Before his appointment, Young served for two years as classified advertising manager at The News, a community weekly in Las Vegas, where he also operated his own financial services and insurance business. Young has nearly 25 years of experience in the newspaper industry, including a stint as interim publisher of the Pahrump Valley Times, in Pahrump, Nev.
The Standard Journal is owned by Pioneer Newspapers.
Young replaces Rick Wallace, who resigned in April to pursue career opportunities in Salt Lake City.
