‘S.F. Chronicle’ Names Bergin SVP/Advertising

The San Francisco Chronicle and its Web site, SFGate.com named Jeff Bergin as senior vice president of advertising. Bergin was most recently vice president of sales at the U.S. Community Publishing Division at Gannett.

“Jeff brings an impressive record of success in creating digital and print solutions that deliver results for our customers,” Mark Adkins, president of San Francisco Chronicle, said in a statement. “We’re excited to have him put his unique skills to work in his new role.”

Bergin also served in a variety of senior management roles at several Gannett properties including in Bridgewater, N.J., and Ft. Myers, Fla. He currently sits on the sales advisory committee for the National Newspaper Network and the advertising advisory board of the American Press Institute.
