‘San Francisco Chronicle’ Names Deputy ME/Features

Meredith Ann White is the new deputy managing editor for features at the San Francisco Chronicle.

White, 61, spent 16 years as a producer for ABC News and most recently was executive producer for a television series being developed by Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia. She served as managing editor at New West from 1978 to 1983, and was later named executive editor at California Magazine.

In her new capacity, she will be responsibile for the Chronicle’s Datebook, Food, and Book Review sections, as well as Chronicle Magazine. She joins the staff in September.
