The Tribune San Luis Obispo, Calif., may be reducing its size, but not the number of its comics.
The paper is going against the grain of many others who have dropped comics in the past four months, by actually adding two comic strips to its current lineup. However, the size of those comics will change.
Starting today, the Tribune has shrunk its width by three-quarters of an inch; that change is size necessitated the re-sizing of its existing comic strips. But because the newspaper?s vertical size didn?t change, this move made for more space.
The paper moved United Media?s ?Dilbert? from the Business section and added Chad Carpenter?s self-syndicated ?Tundra,? an outdoors and nature-themed strip.
