Brainworks Software, provider of newspaper advertising, ad tracking and circulation systems across North America has announced that Schurz Communications, Inc, Mishawaka, Ind. has chosen Brainworks to install an integrated advertising software solution for their publications.
Schurz Communications, Inc. has contracted with Brainworks to implement advertising order entry, accounts receivable, credit management, contract management, budget management, e-tearsheets, e-billing, advertiser web-access portal, classified self-service online tools, reporting and CRM in the Brainworks private cloud environment.
Schurz Communications properties have a combined circulation of nearly 225,000 comprised of The South Bend Tribune, South Bend, Ind., The Daily American, Somerset, Pa., The Herald-Mail, Hagerstown, Md., The Advocate Messenger, Danville, Ky., The Petoskey News-Review, Petoskey, Mich., The American News, Aberdeen, S.D., The Herald Times, Bloomington, Ind., The Winchester Sun, Winchester, Ky., The Times-Mail, Bedford, Ind. and various other titles.

The installation of the new software is already well underway and is scheduled to take their first property live in the fourth quarter of 2015. Products include fully integrated classified and display advertising, circulation, ad production tracking and online proofing for print and online ads, billing, accounts receivable, contract and credit management, classified pagination, ROP ad layout, and a state-of-the art CRM system supporting Web, tablet, laptop, and Smartphone platforms.
Brainworks customers include individual newspapers as well as publishing companies, which incorporate multiple products and divisions into a single database.
