The Daily Racing Form, based in New York, bought the SCOOP editorial system from Software Consulting Services, Nazareth, Pa. The nationally distributed daily devoted to horseracing prints as many as 25 editions at multiple production facilities. SCOOP enables DRF to maintain its workflow while adding features and capabilities to the editorial environment.
The purchase includes SCOOPEdit for news copy and editing, SpellManager and Content Manager. DRF plans to run 22 Macintosh workstations for reporting and pagination, which will continue to be handled by QuarkXPress, integrated with SCOOP.
