Derrick Publishing Co. reached across the state, from Oil City to Coal country for an advertising system installation next month from Software Consulting Services LLC.
The publisher of regional dailies, including its flagship, The Derrick, and semi-weekly titles in Western Pennsylvania, has selected the Nazareth, Pa., vendor’s AdMAX for retail and classified advertising and accounting, SCS/ClassPag for classified pagination, and an upgrade to the newest version of Layout-8000 for retail ad dummying.
Replacing various legacy systems for classified and retail ad order entry and billing, the software will automate classified pagination, eliminating time-consuming manual tasks and extending deadlines.
“We have been doing double- and even triple-entry of ad orders in some cases. We have lots of workarounds now,” System Administrator Derek Chester said in a statement, adding that he looks to the SCS solution to “integrate everything seamlessly.”
