SEATTLE PAPERS BRING IN REPLACEMENT WORKERS

By: Staff Reports

Strike Continues At Times, P-I

Facing a continuing strike by editorial workers, The Seattle
Times and Seattle Post-Intelligencer began augmenting
their staffs with temporary workers this week. Citing security
reasons, management declined to say where the new hires are
coming from.

The temporary replacement workers will work with Times and
P-I managers (who are not part of the strike) and those
Guild workers who opted not to observe the strike.
