‘Selma (Ala.) Times-Journal’ Names New President/Publisher

Selma Newspapers, Inc. has named Dennis Palmer its new president and the publisher of The Selma (Ala.) Times-Journal, selmatimesjournal.com, and The Dollar Saver. Palmer most recently was publisher of the Greenville (Ala.) Advocate and its affiliated Alabama publications in Georgiana, Fort Deposit, and Luverne.

In addition to his duties as the Times-Journal publisher, Palmer will also be a vice president of Boone Newspapers, Inc. and work with other Boone publications through group management. The Greenville Advocate, the Selma Times-Journal, and the Suffolk (Va.) News-Herald are all Boone publications.

Palmer will begin his new position on Wed. as he replaces Jesse Lindsey, who recently became publisher of the Suffolk News-Herald.
