Several Papers To Launch Digital Editions

The latest newspapers to announce plans for electronic replicas of their print editions are The Columbus (Ohio) Dispatch, The Virginian-Pilot of Norfolk, Va., and the American Press of Lake Charles, La. All are using technology from Olive Software Inc. of Denver.
Overseas, the Mail & Guardian of South Africa recently launched an electronic edition via NewsStand Inc. of Austin, Texas.
The Columbus edition will be available free to print Dispatch subscribers or to Web-only subscribers at $4.95 per month.
