‘St. Pete Times’ Announces Several Newsroom Changes

The St. Petersburg Times has announced several changes in the newsroom:

Jeanne Grinstead moved to deputy managing editor/world from the business news desk where she had served as business editor; business columnist Bob Trigaux was named business editor; deputy business editor Scott Montgomery was named government & politics editor; general assignment reporter Bill Duryea was named national editor, and Shelaine Peters moved to homepage editor of sptimes.com from her role as editor of the Brandon Times. In September, Eric Deggans will leave the editorial board to take up a new role as media critic, and in November Stephen Bousquet will take over as Tallahassee bureau chief succeeding Lucy Morgan on her retirement.

Other recent assignments on the Metro news desk include: Neville Green to deputy managing editor/metro, Jennifer Orsi to metro editor/Tampa, Marilyn Garateix to metro editor/St. Petersburg, Jim Verhulst to deputy metro editor/days; Christopher Ave to deputy metro editor/St. Petersburg.
