Rogosienski Heads Interactive Team

The Star Tribune Co. of Minneapolis named Nick Rogosienski vice president,
interactive media, reporting to John Schueler, publisher and president.

Rogosienski, who joined Star Tribune in 1994, was most recently director
of sales and marketing for new media. He previously was responsible for
all of the classified sites at startribune.com and developed sites in
partnership with Classified Ventures.

Schueler also announced that Tim McGuire, editor and senior vice president,
will become chairman of the internal board of directors, handling resource
priorities.

‘New media, our online enterprise, is no longer ‘new,” Schueler says.
‘Today it’s known as ‘interactive media’ and it’s an integral part of our
diversification strategy, commanding more resources, greater support, and
the full-time effort of a senior executive.’

Rogosienski’s team consists of Bob Schaefer, director of online strategy;
Rusty Coats, editor of startribune.com; Dave Bender, IT leader, Web
applications; and the yet-to-be-filled director of sales and marketing.

Startribune.com claims in its release that revenues grew 70% in just two years
and that page views now are at 18 million per month.
