The Star Tribune in Minneapolis has hired two assistant managing editors to join its newsroom ranks.
Todd Stone starts in September as assistant managing editor for business. Stone currently serves as business and enterprise editor for the St. Louis Post Dispatch, where his staff won a Loeb award for its coverage. Previously he has served as regional editor at The Denver Post and has worked at the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette and the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
Janet Reeves joins the newsroom Aug. 16 as assistant managing editor for multimedia — a new position that combines responsibility for all visual journalism, from still photography to video on all platforms. Reeves hails from the Rocky Mountain News in Denver, where under her leadership as senior editor for multimedia the newspaper won three Pulitzer Prizes for photography.
