The student newspaper at Faribault High School could be rolling off the presses again soon.
District Superintendent Bob Stepaniak has lifted his shutdown of the Echo, if the student editors meet certain conditions.
The shutdown has kept two issues of the Echo from printing. Stepaniak halted production of the paper Dec. 15 after student editors refused to let him see an article before publication about the investigation of a middle school teacher.
Echo Editor Christen Hildebrandt says he’s ecstatic the shutdown was ended and that he and the rest of the staff can continue work.
If the paper meets the conditions, publication would resume Feb. 18.
