Sun-Times Gives Notice on Tribune Contract

The Chicago Sun-Times has executed cancellation clauses in its long-term printing and distribution agreements with the Chicago Tribune, according to sources with knowledge of the deal.

Sun-Times Media gave notice in May that it would terminate the separate printing and distribution deals, which pay the Tribune about $70 million per year, according to sources. The printing cancellation is effective May 2015, with the distribution deal to end the following year.
