The Virginia Gazette Cos. sold the Sussex-Surry Dispatch in Wakefield, Va., to Tom and Bobbie Page.

Terms of the deal, brokered by W.B. Grimes & Co., were not disclosed.

W.C. O?Donovan, the Gazette?s publisher said in a statement the Dispatch fit better ? particularly for coordinating joint advertising — with papers owned by the Pages. The Pages publish The Monitor in Dinwiddie County, Va., and the Prince George Journal in Prince George County, Md.

The Sussex-Surry is a weekly with a paid circulation of approximately 6,800.
